I upgraded from XP HOME to XP PROFESSIONAL, now when I turn on my laptop it takes about 3 to 5 minutes before I can do anything. So by going to task master and ending a file called ApntEx.exe then I can do anything

When standing idle or running. My CPU usage is maxed out. When I check processes under task manager it appears that file: winlogon.exe is using about 68 percent and file: svchost.exe is using about 30 percent of the processes.
