'Ello,
On my Windows XP Home edition it won't let me do a disk
defrag.  Every time I try doing it though windows it
says "Windows cannot ops this file: dfrg.msc" and asks me

We have been trying to remove software to install an
upgrade and we keep getting a thread exit or an
application error.  We have tried everything. But nothing
works.  Someone suggested to try windows installer

I've had a few games/applications installed on my
computer. When i've went to uninstall them it deletes
everything but still leaves the name of the program in the
add/remove bit. The remaining part wont delete, very

Well it all started monday, did sys scan found a few
adware deleted them no worms at all shut down system.
then powerd up a few hours later acted like it wanted to
boot then it went to shut down screen, so I tried to boot

I recently had to reformat my hard-drive and re-install
Windows XP Home.  Since then, during start-up and prior to
Windows loading, I receive the following message:
"Please select the operating system to start.

When I access "Open", "My Computer" or type in a web
address in to IE, the refresh/display of the contents or
web site is delayed by about 1.5 min.
This is a new (10 days old) machine (Toshiba P20) but

There's a casino pop-up that was loaded onto my
computer.  I go to the add/remove program list, click on
the "CasProg" to remove, and nothing happens.  Can you

Windows update keeps telling me I have an update to
install, which I do each time- except the update is the
exact same one as before: KB828741. What do I do to get
this thing to stop asking me to install every time I boot

I had to reinstall XP Home on a PC due to some missing
files. Now, I the new installation and the old as well.
How can I remove the old version?
