I have a 875 motherboard, 2 SATA and 2 IDE hard drives,
in the process of setting this up.
For best performance, what stripe size should I use?
Is it better to use the built-in BIOS striped volume for the SATA

Hi. I'm new to XP, and I have  file names in my
Temp/Temporary Internet Files/Content.IE5 folders that
are too long. They won't let me delete or rename them.
They start with "tournaments;feat=tournaments;tour=....."

numerous times.  I am then prompted to insert the Windows
XP Home Edition CD numerous times.  I am not running XP

Specifically several large file with names like   "~PDT1309.tmp".

When I try to delete Temp/Temporary Internet Files/IE5
folders, the folders have names in them that are very
very long. I try to delete them, and I get an error
message that says:

Recently, the power at home shutoff unexpectedly. Since
then I have been unable to get back onto windows. I am
using Windows XP Home Edition. All it would do is load my
background nothing else. Then I used the setup disc and

I have Windows XP.  When I turn on the computer the
system starts the boot, but after the desktop apprears,
but before starting the background programs, the computer
is idle for 2-4 minutes.  I ran msconfig and eliminated

I would like to use the system restore but there are never
any restore points available. Is there some way to have XP
occasionally set a system restore point?

just when i think i may have things figured out, someone brings up something else i've never heard of
what is "fsb" and how do i find out what mine is
i read where your ram should equal your "fsb".  I have 1gig of ram but maybe don't need it

When I select Shutdown the PC shuts down but immediately
restarts.I have Windows XP Professional SP1 installed.

my usb lists the device type right but says it is unkown
nd needs drivers. the device manager says the usb is
working fine. i had someone put new usb 2.0 but they told

I mistakenly deleted 2 files potentially infected and now my virtual memory minimum too low message kicks in after 1/2 hour on net and I cannot activate new programs becaues insufficient memory for that program.  How do I fix? THanks!
