I click on START. Go to CONTROL PANEL. Go to PERFORMANCE AND MAINTENENCE. Click on SYSTEM and it will not open at all. It will also not open SYSTEM RESTORE on the same page. Something doesn't seem right. It finally opened

RUNNING WINDOWS XP HOME ON A COMPAQ. THE SYSTEM WILL NOT STAY IN STANDBY. IT GOES INTO STANDBY BUT THEN COMES OUT FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I SHUT DOWN ALL PROGRAMS BUT IT STILL SEEMS TO HAPPEN.
