I recently downloaded all the XP patches (bug fixes
etc !) including service pack1.
I elected to archive my existing set up.
The new system works perfectly well but the archive has

Every time I delete a file or folder, a duplicate appears
in "My Documents".  I just deleted 7500 duplicate files,
some were copies of copies.  What could be causing this?

my pc really isn't very old (under a year) and when i
first got it it seemed to run an awful lot quicker than
