Hi! My computer had XP installed on it before I purchased
it. I don't think my computer came with a seperate XP
Home Edition disk or Recovery disk. I'm having technical
problems, so I need to perform the repair/upgrade option,

I have problem with XP computer which will not start.
I got black screen with the message that some files are lost and need to be
reinstalled.From that point it was possible to do clean install only with 6

I discovered I have a bad sector on my hard drive
(Acronis True Image couln't create an image) and ran
CHKDSK to fix it. However, on Startup, I get the error
that it "cannot open the volume for direct access."

ok as of sun afternoon all the sudden my pc is freezing
after sitting idle for several minutes. even turned off
with no activity for any length of time it wont respond
