Trying to create automated system recovery disk using the
wizard on XP home (installed ntbackup from winxp home cd)
Get the following error msg
"Backup Status

Four profiles on this computer, and *one* randomly resets
itself to default settings.  Suddenly all files in MyDocs
are missing; icons are gone; background is default.  This
seems to be unprovoked.  Virus scans come up with

I can't get my mouse to work and my keyboard's locked up
when i first boot up.  Without these, my computer won't
even boot up all the way.  Anybody have any suggestions?

Had a sudden and unexpected  'disabling' of Checkdisk in XP Pro and could
not resolve it!  Carey was on the money with diagnosis! ZoneAlarm 5.0 Free
is the culprit.. Thank You, Thank You, Carey. I had tried every command line
anyone could come-up with;  checkdisk would NOT run on ...

When I tr to delete any file from my c: drive , its takes
about 1 minute before the message "do you want to delete
this file" comes up, also the window that was displaying
the fiel system is frozen the whole time. Any ideas on what

When I start my internet connection (adsl modem - Alcatel
speed touch) my windows explorer virtually stops working.
For example, whilst online and I try to open say 'control
panel' or even 'task manager' they fail to open. I have

i loose internet conection at least 10 times a day i have
to maulaly disable and reinable my network connection to
get it to re start what is causing this problem and how

because it will ask for the disk and I don't have it.
