The inbox tool repair application is missing from Windows
XP. And I'm in need urgently of some advice which can help
me restore my inbox archive. I had problem today when I

Upon startup, all programs work OK.  At some later time,
Media Player gives message "error downloading codecs"
when trying to play a file.  Also, can not "connect the
player" from the Media Guide screen.

Starting yesterday or so, I am unable to read or write
CD's.  The drive doesn't seem to recognize that there is
a disk in it.  Can anyone help?
About the same time, my system response time has become

Ever since I downloaded SP2 I can't seem to get onto most
internet sites.  It says "page not found" - not
connecting to web sites.  I could not even post this
until I turned off the pop up blocker. When we do get to

Whenever I get to the desktop within 1-2 minutes I get a
pop up saying, NT Authority System Shutdown in 60
seconds. It happens whether I get on the net or just
leave it at the desktop. Please help!

almost every time I open up a program, IE tells me it has
experienced a problem and needs to shutdown, I used 3
different virus checkers, I am also running spybot and
adaware SE, none of these even notice that it is spyware

I am having the following problems and don't know what to
do next.  I have had two discussions/working sessions
with Dell and they suggest reinstallation of my operating
system.  Here are the problems:

When I start my computer, and try to log on to any of the accounts, the
welcome screen disappears and my desktop appears.  There is no task bar,
start button or icons; after, it automatically logs off.

The location is listed as the same for both:

Sometimes, without pattern or warning, the response gets
extreeeeeemely slow and sluggish if I've stopped using
the mouse or keyboard for anywhere from 30 seconds to
half an hour.  Only remedy is to reboot. Happens with all

If I minimize an application the Task Manager shows it as running -- what is
meant by that?
