4 Minute Idle Time while Startup XP Pro01 Apr 2005 00:03 GMT1
I have XP Pro SP2 installed and am connecting to LAN. When I type in my
password I need to wait for at least 4 to 5 minutes until my PC does anything
at all. Is anybody familiar with this problem? Help would be much apreciated.

Well, first I go to the Control Panel, then click on Add
or Remove Programs. Then when I try to remove a certain
program, a little windows pops up that is titled, "Wise
Uninstall", and has a message saying, "Could not open

I just bought an HP laptop from a friend that has XP Home. No problems
logging into Windows but when I click on anything at the desktop Windows

to cut a very long story short i had to get my computer re formated back to
its original factory state. meaning every program i had ever installed was
lost!!
I now have a very nice clean xp home (pre installed when i brought the

I have a laptop with winXP and I had to use the recovery program in the
advanced option mode where it made a back up folder of my files and
settings.
How do I restore all this info from this folder back into the computer.  I

Somehow, the "normal" update speed on the network chart has become 2
seconds, rather than one second.
The "high" speed seems to be about 0.5 seconds and "low" looks to be about
4.
