I recently re-installed Windows XP Professional with SP1 to my Samsung X10, however, the 'Stand-by' function is disabled and the option for choosing 'Hibernation' under the Power Options has disappeared. I have also installed the Microsoft Update but doesn't seem to help.

The process svchost.exe has CPU usage of 100% all the time! Have tried Spybot, Ad aware, and a repair install. If it is ended, it starts back up again. Any suggestions?

It hasn't had an update since first release. It has grown issue dealing with drives larger then 60gig. It has almost no ability to clear "slack space" with out telling the tool to redo the defrag of the drive at least 2 addtional times.

What is wrong when I get the message: " An error aoccurred getting the status of the last synchornization.The RPC Server is unavailable"? This is on the "Internet Time" Tab. All the latest updates, virus sweeps have been done. XP Prof edition.
