there are a lot of file in the C:\Windows\Installer directory using up
hundreds of megabytes of space.  Whgy are these install files saved?  Is it
safe to delete them?  Are they required to un-install software later?

Hello, this is my first time to post here.
As we know, recently MS published KB908531 as a solution to MS06-015. One of
the new things included in 908531 is verclsid.exe. However, when I installed
the patch and reboot, some of my programs crashes when verclsid.exe run.

After automatic "security update" on 4/12/06, I am experiencing problems with
MS Excel.  Trying to "save as" results in application hang, and error report
to MS.
