When I had XP Home Edition, I could go to Help and Support to look at and modify the programs which load at startup. Now I have XP Media Edition and that does not appear to be an option. Is there a way to do this?

I've been told Windows performance begins to degrade drastically if the HDD is more than half full. Seems pretty unlikely off hand, but apparently that's the first question Best Buy techs ask anyone looking for performance tweaking - how full is the drive?!

I just re formated my computer and now when i move windows, scroll in a window, it doesn't move smoothly. it is almost a studder. it moves/scrolls in pieces and not smoothly. i don't know how else to explain it any better. i don't even know where to start to fix the problem.
