I had a virus, "exploit-byte" got rid of it but jargon telling me to download
anti-spyware remained on blue screen. In the process of trying to get rid of
it I have a white screen I cannot get rid of. I have tried under appearances

    I have XP Home SP 1.  Three times this week, the computer hangs,
then I hear a "beep," and it's frozen.  Control+Alt+Delete won't work.
I can't even shut it down by doing that twice.  
    I have to hold the power button in and shut the computer down

A while back my Norton SystemWorks detected a virus on my

Why does my screen reduce so small when coming out of sleep mode? Its got

For some reason when my computer goes to sleep from lack of use, the entire
screen minimizes when it returns and there is about a 2 1/2 inch black border

under my windows folder I have a bunch of folders named $NtUnistall.  Are
those necessary folders or a potential unwanted thing?  Any info would be
