I had a virus, "exploit-byte" got rid of it but jargon telling me to download
anti-spyware remained on blue screen. In the process of trying to get rid of

    I have XP Home SP 1.  Three times this week, the computer hangs,
then I hear a "beep," and it's frozen.  Control+Alt+Delete won't work.
I can't even shut it down by doing that twice.

A while back my Norton SystemWorks detected a virus on my
Dell Dimension 4300, running XP Home Edition, then
deleted it. Since then, after clicking onto my account
icon...I get the welcome screen with the messege:

Why does my screen reduce so small when coming out of sleep mode? Its got
like a 2" black border around the whole thing.

For some reason when my computer goes to sleep from lack of use, the entire
screen minimizes when it returns and there is about a 2 1/2 inch black border
around the entire desktop screen. Anyone have a clue as to why and/or how to

under my windows folder I have a bunch of folders named $NtUnistall.  Are
those necessary folders or a potential unwanted thing?  Any info would be
great.

I have some VERY large files in a folder with the path name:
c:\documents and settings\beth\Local Settings\TEMP
Are these files that can be deleted?
