While trying to uninstall Antivirus software and install another updated
version some files have become corrupted. As soon as I open Windows (XP Home)
I get the window Run Time Error “File ’53 Not Found”, then Run Time Error
“File ’70 Access Denied”

When I click My Computer, a little flashlight come up and it takes a while to
populate the drives.  It also takes a while to find drives when I try to
save.  Why is this happening?

I have a user that has a laptop with Windows XP Pro and I need to put a new
hard drive in it.  Can Windows backup be used to backup the entire C: drive
to tape and restore to a new hard drive?  Will it backup all the files
including open files?  Should I use Norton Ghost instead? ...

Short story long;
As indicated, I'm running a fully legit, patched version of Windows XP Home
SP2.  I recently installed Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 and have a problem

I am trying to debug a very slow startup but bootvis dies with an error:
"number of logical drives in this configuration is 0, invalid system

I just installed xp pro x64, and i cannot seem to find any drivers for my
V2565US laptop (Compaq V2000).  In particular, i need drivers for the audio
and integrated wireless card.  Also, the stand-by feature is disabled

Hi all....
This one has been bugging me for a while.....
I have an XP workstation that was a clean install from a CD including SP1.
MS shared faxing works fine until SP2 is installed, then all I get is "Driver

If I go to add or remove programs and scroll down the list, there is a huge
gap between one program and the next. I can click on the program above and
below this gap and can also click on the gap and highlight it.
This isn't causing any problems that I know of.  It's just weird.  ...

it is a week or so that when i restart my laptop i have this "inodist.exe -
application error" kind of message. this message says that: the instruction
at 0x10005a5b" referenced memory at 0x00000002" the memory could not be read.
i have rebooted to repair the software but idid not ...
