I asked this question once before and the response did not help. Can anyone PLEASE help me? I am running Windows XP Home. I run System Tools/Disk Cleanup and I have checked off "Web Client/Publisher Temporary Files". It never cleans up and the amount of space stays the same

In Device Manager, IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, the settings for transfer rates are set to DMA if available, but the current mode is listed as PIO. I tried the MS fix of changing to PIO mode then back to DMA if available but the current mode remains PIO. I beieve this is

When I load up Windows Xp, lines appear up and down the screen while it loads. I would have loved a picture of it in order to show the problem, but the print screen doesnt work while the comp loads up. But the same problems occurs on many icons on the computer, which appear, well ...

After installing a program I wanted to use system restore to step back to yesterday. After I selecting the restore point and click next it shows a screen titled "Confirm Restore Point Selection". When I click next to this nothing happens.

My system has a problem in most any Microsoft Application with the file open - it hangs and takes forever to open up a directory. If I go to open a document, etc - I have to wait a minute or so for it to open a directory. The application gets to a non-responsive state.
