I'm using an old software in DOS on my PC with WinXP PRO but this DOS
software is on a shared folder in my NT4 Server, when I run this on XP Pro
the process NTVDM rise 99% of my CPU an a lot of ram memory...
What can I do to avoid this? or to improve the CPU administration?

the dynamic link library PSAPI.DILL. How do I stop this msg, it pops up when
I start my computer. It also didn't start until I downloaded update explorer

Using XPSP2 all up to date.
SFC used to work just fine from my CD.
Now, when running SFC either from cmd prompt, start/run with any switches,
/scanboot, /scannow, /scanonce, /purgecache, etc... I always get the box

My daughter's computer keeps getting pop-ups saying that her registry is
damaged and she should go to registrycleaner.com to fix the problem. I've
run SpybotSD, Lavasoft Adware, Avast antivirus and AVG and everything comes
back clean. Does anyone know where this problem resides ...

pc boots up fine runs for a few then a quick pop up and all the apps are gone
you can click on ie or my computer get the hour glass but nothing happen even
the start is missing from the green box?

My desk top image will not stay on the correct settings.  I do not have any
other monitors connected to my computer--I use it ony for my usual e-mails,
letters,etc.  Almost every time I turn on the computer, the image goes to 640
X 480 pixels with the low (8 bit) color quality.  ...

My computer runs Windows XP Pro.  It has started running chkdsk at each
startup and I am experiencing numerous errors.  I tried to re-install Windows
XP but I cannot complete the installation because of some C drive corruption.
Any ideas short of wiping the C drive and starting ...

During Disk Cleanup, I discovered in the Occache
File{4A3CF76B-EC7A-405D-A67D-8DC6B52AB35B} is damaged.  
What corrective action is required?

i recently reinstalled windows home xp back on to my sony viao.
xp was running perfect before reinstall, i did it merely to format my drive.
about a minute after i boot, my system kicks svchost.exe kicks to 100%
it drains all performance and cannot excute any other program.
