I finally upgraded from 2k Pro to XP Pro following a system crash and general
cleanup.
After upgrading I continued to clean many unused and obsolete applications

Recently the computer has been shutting down, for no apparent reason, then
when rebooted a message comes up stating the computer has recovered from a
serious error. I'm not sure at what point should I take it in to be looked
at, as it can sometimes be okay for several days.
