Continue to get error message that reads "unable to read from or write to the
database" what may solve this problem?

While this is not the venue is not exactly, the question may be popping up.
Today (21 sep 06) it looks like yahoo, did some changes to their tool bar
(for those who use it) and there is a problem with it.  If the yahoo tool
bar is installed IE will close down automatically.

how do i get my disk defrag out of read only mode? i typed in chkdsk/c in the
command prompt and it came up with errors found. CHKDSK cannot continue in
read-only mode.

win will no longer save to a disc even though Sonics Recordnow can do it.

For some time now I have been unable to acess add/remove programmes.
Is there any other way to delete unused programmes,and does anyone know the
reason I cannot acess this facility?
I am an administrator account and everything else seems to be running well.

I can't use administrator user account to adjust date&time.  Whenever I
right click on the clock on the bottom bar, it gave me an errow

When I tried to 'defrag' this morning, I found 'defrag' and 'Transfer
Wizard' on system Tools
on Accessories were all gone, although I luckily accessed both by typing on
'Help and Support'

My daughter turned off all of my services to manual, I can't do a system
restore, I can't get onto the internet with my desktop, I have to manually
start Explorer from Task Manager just to see my desktop!

Recently, Task Manager has changed.  There used to be several tabs - Tasks,
Process and now there aren't any.  The only thing I see now are the running
tasks.  What's more, the menu bar and minimize-maximize-close buttons are

I bought a Computer at a market stall with Xp Pro installed which was not

Windows XP Home Edition SP2.
I know you shouldn't but I was editing the registry, following some
instructions on how to fix a problem with recognition of my DVD writer caused
by Roxio.  I rebooted the machine and the keyboard and mouse (both USB)
replaced a 40g w/ 80g = 250g/3drives; 80+120+250. System slow20 Sep 2006 16:37 GMT1

Windows installed on two drives, the 80g & 120g. Do I need to uninstall
