I m trying to burn a DVD and there appears a message saying that my temporary
forder does not have enough capacity for the project. Can I empty the
temporary folder completely with no reprecussions?

I just installed a new motherboard using the same components that had
previously been running MCE 2005 just fine -- now everything runs slowly, and
I notice CPU Usage goes to about 100% whenever any program is launched --
even scrolling on a web page kicks usage up to 50-60%.  ...

I have an HP Pavilion 510c with Intel Celeron/133mHz. It got some viruses I
could'nt get rid of (resulting in BSOD), so a friend to me to DBAN the hard

I am using a 250 GB hard drive, and I am having problems with the disk
becoming terribly fragmenting after, for example,  1 or 2 days usage.
I do a lot of surfing around the internet .. I am disabled and my pc is my
only daytime entertainment.

My mpeg files stop playing a while back. I can't see the file on any program
(Media Player, Movie Maker, DivX Player, Ulead DVD Player). The only program
that playes the mpeg files is my Pinnacle Studio ver.9.  I noticed that I
could redo the small mpeg's as an avi file but large ...

There are two files on a server share that can't be copied,
opened, renamed or deleted - "Access is denied".  It's possible
they're in use by someone.  How can I find out if they are and if
so, by who?

Have Computer that came with Win XP Media OEM installed.Do not care for
the Media XP as it interferes with two older games these old tired drybones

i got some programs from a friend of mine and didn't delete them from the
control panel two of them didn't show up in there i did a search and got off
as much as i could in the respected files but can i do a search and delete
all of the partials on my computer? any software or ...

My system is a Toshiba laptop (Tecra M1, 1 GB RAM), Win XP SP2.  Major memory
leak, detected by the poolmon tool.  The tag "Thre" is the culprit.  Several

I went to do my regular backup on my computer but it will not load. The Task
Manager says that it is running but I cannot see it. My last backup was on
