Where is the optimal location for a page file (Windows XP)?

I have found that I have several gigs (over 35,000 files) located in a folder
called 'content IE5.'  It takes 30 or more minutes for my AV to scan these
files, and I cannot find a way to delete them (I have tried all the standard

I have an 8Gb partition for C which is exclusively for the OS and
application files.  But the free space is always around the low space
threshold ... 300-500MB.  Every time i get the warning, I delete the

My Sony came with the 120 gig hard drive partioned into 14 gig ( C drive )
and 100 gig ( D drive ) . The C drive is filling up and I can't figure out

   I have an HP Pavilion ze4100 laptop running Windows XP with 640 MB
memory, and plenty of disk space. When the machine comes up, the CPU
arbitrarily jumps up to 100% usage, and the mouse pointer disappears.
