I have two computers manufactured by HP with windows XP6.
One computer is 200GB Hard Drive with 1.0GB Memory.
The other computer is 120GB Hard Drive with 512 MB Memory.
I want to 'upgrade' the latter to '1.0GB Memory,' because the 512 MB

Hi. XP Home. Now takes 10 min boot up.  Already ran all updates, cleanup,
defragment.  Problem Gradually increasing over 6 mos since reinstalled XP
last time.  Occasional error msgs with "Hotkey.exe....can't install
PowrProfl.dll", and on shut down "program sw" wont shut down.  ...

I tried to boot up this morning and not only did I get a message about a
missing .dll file (which happens at every boot up) but it also took some time
before I could do anything. it was almost as if the computer was locked up.
why would it do this? please help if anyone can
