When rebooting or turning of my pc, previously it was fairly quick, about a minute total. But for the past month or so it's taking at least between 4-5 mins just to save the settings. Then another couple of mins to close & reopen.

i have a seriosly anoying problem with my computer it takes 10 minutes yes 10 minutes to start up before i can start any programs or it will take longer or freeze,this is very anoying it has gradualy built up to taking 10 minutes it was around 5 minutes a couple of months ago.

I need help, have no sound on my computer, deleted some old documents, and think i might have deleted the "sound program" for windows xp. HAve no start up sounds, no microphone, no game sound etc. CAn i just reload the back up disc, if so will i loose any work i have

I have Windows XP Professional SP2. I have built-in USB that requires drivers to be installed to make them USB 2.0. I have done this, further, you DO see "VIA USB Enhanced Host Controller" in the Device Manager.
