I notice that "Disk Cleanup" lacks an option to clear out the folder "<Sys Drive>:\Documents and Settings\<Current User>\Local Settings\Temp" even though it can grow to many gigs in size. Can the files in this folder be safely deleted manually?

I recently purchased a SeaGate 320gb hard drive and did a fresh install of XP Home edition, downloaded all updates (including SP2). Unfortunately, Windows only partitioned the first 128GB of the drive as the bootable sector, leaving 170gb unpartitioned.

When I am surfing the net, after a while a message appears telling me I am low on Virtual Memory. Everything almost grinds to a halt. Is there something I can do to sort this ? It seems to be getting worse. I clean unwanted files regulary etc etc, but still get the same trouble.
