My computer stops working an it doesn't respond to any comand, this has

I have an AMD-64 machine running XP Pro with every service pack out, 2
1/2 GB ddr 2 ram, 2 250 GB HDs and a 256 MB PCI-Express Video Card. I
have more than 50% on each drive free and my paging file is set to 3GB

I did a system recovery because my computer's been acting up (as in realllly
slow) for a while. First of all after the SR it wouldnt go to my desktop. It

Is there a way to tell XP Home SP2 to sort the programs menu per the most
frequently used? Sorting it alphabetically is easy. Right click on any menu
item and choose Sort by Name. But how about sorting, and keeping it sorted,
by most frequently used?

Once installed, Windows Explorer is opened, click on My Computer and search
"flashlight" opens and it does this for 3-5 minutes before opening. When it

I was able to do it previously. Not sure what happened and now I'm unable to
open the Display properties from desktop and from Control Panel -> Display.
