I may have to completely reinstall my Win XP home SP2, Swedish. Since I have a modem, updating with Win Update takes very long time, but my present installation is completely updated. Is there a way to download all the updates since 2004 when SP2 was released

Using XP Pro, until recently i was using this facility, i did a system restore and now have lost this function. I have tried to set this again , comp returns another file or folder is using this, none details whatsoever.

I'd like to completely wipe everything out and start from scratch. Delete the two 2 gig partitions on my drive, make one more like 3 gigs and one of them 1 gig so I don't have to try moving files back and forth to make things work.

I installed aditional memory so now I have 2 GB, but after that Xp became unstable restarting sometimes, and IE also stops some times with errors. I already checked memory with memtest and it shows no errors. I have also set virtual memory to "managed by system" and reinstalled ...

Since I removed my slave HDD it take 28 minutes to boot. There no error messages and after boot it runs normally. So far took these actions: 1. set jumper to CS and master 2 reinstalled an additional drive trying both master-slave jumpers and CS:

My DVD/CD Writer worked perfectly for more than three years. Suddenly without having made any changes to the system and in spite of the Device Manager showing this Writer as working properly, it fails to to see full and/or empty DVD Disks. It does however play CDs.
