I'm no sure if I'm posting this in the right catagory, but I recently used the Live One Care scanning tool from Microsoft and it found an error in the registy that it could not fix (my computerhas been running very slow lately), I tried to restore it to my "Brand New" restore ...

I tried running the check disc application from My Computer--Properties-->Tools-->Error-checking. It ran slow and only completed 3 of 4 phases of checking. I got a message from wimdows that Wimdows could not complete the check.

I also (seemingly connected) get messages of a "SysFader" error. Searching on that term does yield a few solutions, but none seem to work and nothing about this component seems definitive. Anyone know anything about the "SysFader," as related to this problem?

i have an Acer laptop (XP Home edition) and keep getting an error code (BSOD) C0000135 BASER FAS32 (unable to locate component... was not found). i can't get it to stop rebooting even tho i go to the menu and select to stop automatic reboot, nor can i get it to boot in safe mode ...

I just can't use any restoration points anymore, although they're still being done automatically. But I can only create new ones. Why ? What should I do ?

Windows XP Pro Sp2 Microsoft PS/2 Port Mouse (Intellipoint) Optical Mouse Anywhere from 15 minutes to 45 minutes after I boot, the mouse freezes. Any animation running at the time will continue to run but I have no mouse action.

I have recently performed a fresh install of Win XP professional. I did everything perfect from scratch i.e. long NTFS format first prior to installing Windows. After this I installed the following applications: Norton 360, Easy CD Media Creator 10, Mozilla Firefox, Limewire.

I want to do a systemrestore but when I access it I can only get April, it wont let m go back to March etc. Also there is only one restore point for today & none others in April. I want to restoe my system ut am unable to. Does anyone have any ideas?

If I have a backup done under Vista to an external hard drive, and I have reverted back to XP PRO, how can I get the restore wizard to recognize the backup file on the external drive ? Do I need to use another version of backup/restore under XP ?

My pc keeps shutting down after about 1/2 hour of use'with games/watching downloaded videos etc. I have Uniblue Powersuite installed, Registry Booster2/ SpeedUpMyPC and SpyEraser, and it says that everything is a-ok.
