Clearing Webclient Temp Files With Disk Clean Up07 May 2008 09:21 GMT5
When I run Disk Clean Up, the item Webclient/Publisher Temporary Files always
shows 32kb of files that can safely be deleted but they will not disappear
when I tick the box. How can I clear it please?

Recently, I turn on my computer and as Windows or any Windows app launched a
pop-up appears that is trying to install ccCommon.  After trying to install
this file, another pop-up appears that states it can't find the file.  Is
there any way to correct this problem?

I went to itunes and got this message.  registry setting used by itunes
drivers for importing and burning cds and dvds are missing.   I haven't any

Windows Update going in circles.
After installing ALL the recommended Windows Update, I go to shut down
and it says there are updates to be installed... I click it and it
attempts to install many of the same updates it already said were

Dell Latitude laptop running XP Professional. I went in to create a
PowerUser account for safer net surfing, and discovered that Windows on
this machine only knows 2-account types: Limited and Administrator (just

I have an icon for my recycle bin but I can't get anything to work.  I have
been deleting itmes but i can't run my recycle bin correctly.  If I right
click on it, my only options are to cut, delete or create short cut.  Help

For some reason, no matter which way I run it (even the EXE itself from its
directory), CleanMgr just dies... no error message, nothing... it basically
doesn't execute.
Is there a way to repair it, or can i get a new copy from Microsoft?

I got a new XP load for my laptop from our support group and it now
takes a long time from the time I enter my password to log into
Windows to where the computer is usable.  Seems like there is a
process in the startup now that may be hanging waiting for something,

from the time i would press the power switch on my laptop until i got the
login screen would take roughly 25 seconds. today i imported a couple of cds
to iTunes for windows with the music files stored on an external drive and
now it takes over a minute to get the login screen.
