add printer does not function. I have the latest service
pack installed. I am also using Lantastic as a LAN. There
is no help informatio regading this problem using Win XP
only Win 2000 and others.

How can you have a Power User connect to a network
printer via net use lpt1 command. I can get this to work
in Win2000 pro but not in XP Pro. Is there a script that
needs to be written to accomplish this?

I have installed my printer,however when I try to use it
the following pops up,print spooler service is not
running.Can someone enlighten me as to what this means
and help me fix it please.

The computer at work is hooked up to an internal network.
The problem I am having is that I can print off of one
program which is set up on the network but when I go to
print anything from a windows program on the computer it

I have XP Home with an HP6110, 4 in 1.
It has been working fine since may and now all of a

I am trying to uninstall a HP d series program and the

Has anyone managed to install a Lexmark X73 printer in
winxp.Worked well in win98se.Now add a printer wizard

One XP Pro notebook is persistently leaving all print
files (SPL & SHD) in the spool directory after the print
jobs have completed. I can manually remove them but
that's the only way! Of course, the print driver is NOT

I've just upgraded to xp from ME but I can't get my hp photosmart 1000
installed.  I downloaded the new driver from the HP site.  Everytime I
try it XP says the printer is not connected. It is connected by
parallel port.  Any ideas?

I have a laser jet III and it will not share over my
network (although all the files, etc will).  I tried to
load the file and printer sharing option but the driver
was not on the pc and I could not find it on any disks.
