Ijust got this new windows XP now i can't install my printer i need help.

Restored XP Home edition from a backup after a hard drive failure.  I
had a Canon 6000, Lexmark X73, Adobe Acrobat installed.  Nothing would
print...  I did not get any error messages most of the time except an
offer to run troubleshooter.

Recently got a DSL modem and connected it to the computer with ethernet cable. Now I am unable to receive faxes.  I have tried to configure but the computer does not recognize the cable and/or the modem.  Any suggestions

I have an HP Laserject 2200D and am unable to print
anything from any program.  The troubleshooter doesn't
solve the problem.  I can reinstall Windows XP and
documents will print for a day or less but then I starting

When first bought my computer I had no trouble with
faxing. Just before xmas I had to have a new hdd fitted
as the other one was corrupted. I now have a problem
getting my fax to work. It is saying

console doesn't seem to recognize the fax printer.  I can
add it fine.  My computer shows the shared fax printer.  
How do I get console to recognize it so that I can use it
to fax?
