We have some printing software that also faxes and works perfectly
from windows 2000 servers.  The same software installed on a windows
2003 server fails to fax and an application error log is generated.
The error log generated looks like

My new Gateway 510x computer is running on Miscrosoft Service Pack 1, but the installed Intel fax modem cannot be activated without actual insertion of the Service Pack CD, which did not come with the computer. Obviously something is wrong, but Gateway can't explain what it is. ...
