when attempting to print, XP notifies me that no printer
is installed.  I click "add printer" an "X" box appears
with "operation could not be completed".  I installed the
most current critical updates yesterday.  There must be a

I have a printer that has a "built in" driver according
to the Printer Manufacturer (Brother). The ONLY way the
printer can be installed on XP (or 2003 Server) is to
plug in the USB cable and let Plug and "Pray" to take

I cannot get the print spooler to start. I tried manually
starting but was told that a dependancy would not start.
I tried to start this dependancy but was told a file

Is there a way to stop Windows XP from changing my
default printer designation. I have a local printer
installed, which I select as the default, and another
printer attached to another computer which is networked.

During a boot the system would lock up when it loads
fxssvc.exe.  I set fax services to manual start and the
system will boot up.  When I turn on the fax services the

I cannot install printers on any of three XP machines.  I have tried to
piece together the suggestions for similar problems posted here, but
(obviously, or I wouldn't be posting this) they haven's succeeded.
I have:

While sending or receiving faxes, the fax monitor no
longer pops up and when I manually bring it up , it shows
nothing on it.
