I have been tasked with updating our old fax server process.  I want to use
the Fax Console in Windows XP to do all the faxing, but I have a couple of
questions:

When ever I click on Print to File, it comes up on my
desktop. However, when i got to open it, i get a popup
saying windows can't open the file because it needs to
know what program created it. it says "type of file"----

I'm sure I'm missing something simple, but...I have 2 XP pro machines
