We have a Unix app which will print to HP LJ IF the printer is a printserver, but will NOT print to a Ljet physically attached to an XP computer. (Unix print services has been installed.) The same Unix app will print to LJ's attached to Win98 computers.

In Windows NT it is possible to select "User Defined"

I Can't print in Microsoft document, wordpad or notepad.
Followed troubleshooting- port is fine, all connections,
