In older versions of Windows, you could capture LPT2 or whatever to a network port that was listed the printer port config window. Since this was a very straightforward and lightening quick thing to set up, I guess should be no surprise that it was be eliminated in WinXP. :)

I have one user, recently upgraded to XP, that has 50 print jobs sent out to all three networked printers that state "Download Document..." and blocks up the print que. Also, the same user gets a print job printed successfully

When I try to add a printer, I get an error message saying that the operation cannot be completed. When I go into services and try to start the print spooler, I get an 1068 error message. How can I fix this?

I have a 56K modem installed which appears to be working OK but when try to send a FAX I get a message "no dial tone". The line is workin Ok but I don't get any tones through the speaker so I can't tell if th modem is trying to dial or whether it just isn't accessing the line.

I've been using printer ok for years; but, last week the notepad/wordpad print stopped working. No error msg and printer seems to be running normally and printing but just BLANK page. Tried removing/reinstalling but did not help.
