I am copying a pre formated printer file to a HP 5L laser
printer on LPT1 the file contains no form feed command,

Hello!  I have tried to fix the problem by typing in the command line all the
steps shown in the discussion of 8/30 for Sp2 - printing between Cari and
Jordan.  None of these steps helped me either.  I did not have the problem
until I downloaded all the service pack updates info ...

Printer will not print in either.  Printer dialog box
doesn't come up.  The attachments will print in OE but

I have an issue with the "Default Printer" setting.
Every day I come in the Default Printer has changed from
my HP Inkjet to a laser printer. I change it back to the

I tried to install a laserjet 4000N using jetadmin software.  It did not
work.  I added the jetadmin port.  I then used the hp network printer
installed and that worked.  I tried to delete the printer with the incorrect
port, but am getting and error that closes the printer window.  ...

How can you stop the default printer from changing when it isn't available?
I am using Windows XP Home with SP2, it did the same thing when I before SP
