I have XP Pro and thought that XP by default installed many drivers...
Well I travel a lot, and don't care to carry my printer everywhere, but
occasionally need to print a document for a client. To do this, I would like
to just connect their printer to my laptop and print.

Aloha I am needing to find out HOW and WHERE to get the Microsoft FAX
programme that from what I see is SUPPOSED to be in Communications.
I do not show the FAX there at all.  It is on my laptop but I can't find the
files to transfer it to my desk top, and I don't think that will ...

Running Windows XP SP2 Home, Canon BJC 1000 Printer, darn thing prints
back to front, whether the setting in properties is front to back, or
back to front. Page order is always last page first! Help! Have
re-installed many times!

I have had a similar problem to others in this newsgroup, but cannot find a
solution - I can install the TWAIN drivers for the Epson RX500, but hardware
manager reports that the drivers are not working, and the add new hardware
wizard will not recognise the scanner - any ...

I used the Windows ME driver CD to install the printer before I found out
that XP has the drivers already.  Now, every time I start the System, I get a
"Hardware Installation Wizard" Failure notice.
How to I get the Wizard to accept that I don't need / want it to try to

Have a 812C HP printer. Printer started printing color as light blue on
pages. I changed color cartridge since I thought it was empty. After
replacing it I still get the same blue for color. It will not print color on
documents with multiple colors.

I installed a few days ago Windows XP fax.
Works ok but periodically when a fax is coming in stall the Whole PC. As a
result I have to cold start my PC.
PC is up and running and after about an hour when a fax is coming in PC

i have winxp pro/intel 800Mhz
ms fax works for sending/recieving
but when i use cover page.....after i click finish the fax disapears and no
fax gets sent....not even anything in the out box.

Fax console simply crashes when I double click a message to view it onscreen.
If I chose to print a hard copy, it prints, but the fax pages do not match
the pages of my printer.  The page continues on a second sheet, which is not
a problem EXCEPT I lose a line or two at the page ...

After a while with the many prob;ems with my Dell 720 i have narrowed it down
to the printer spooler not working. When I go to run and then type in NET
START SPOOLER this doesnt do anything, the printer still doesnt appear in the
printer and faxes folder in control panel.

when i recieved the Dell 720 printer it didnt have a usb cable so I used a
spare HP cable which worked great and everything came out ok. Then one day I
went to the printer to print out some work and it said that there wasn't a
printer pluged in or

i have 2 accounts in my pc
"administrator" and "quest"
i install a printer in administrator mode... and works perfect
but when i m "quest" i cant see the printer .. how i can change the "rights"

I installed faxing sucessfully,and it works perfectly.....untill I
reboot.Then the fax console won,t let me configure or anything.If I uninstall
it and reinstall again it works untill the next boot or startup.How can I
capture it to stay with me ?

I'm upgrading my Dell Dimension 8100 with a new hard disk and I'm doing a
