I have successfully been using XP Fax for a couple years. In last 2 weeks,
though, when I receive a fax and get "successfully received a fax", the fax
is not there. I did a search for any .tif file and found one - but it was
only the cover page. I deinstalled and reinstalled XP ...

I have checked bios and made sure the lpt1 port is activated as an ec
port.( per the HP web site) also tried Bi-directional and epp por
types
I have unistalled the office jet t45 software numerous times

documents it prints it back to back ( 2 sided)  How can I take this function
off??

I've been testing out the following line in a batch file on a Windows XP
machine in an attempt to delete a printer from the comptuer:
rundll32 printui.dll,PrintUIEntry /dn /n\\computer8\NEWSLASER2
There is no doubt whatsoever that the computer name and the share name are

is it true that if you had hp drivers installed on your computer you
could probably run a samsung printer off the same port? That is, that
hp and samsung drivers are mostly interchangeable?

A client has a brand new Dell desktop with XP Pro that freezes when a
fax is received or sent from Windows Fax.  If you are sending a fax,
you need to reboot, and then the fax completes normally.  Any thoughts
on what is causing this?  The box has 512 MB of RAM.

i had to reformat my computer and now I cant get the fax to work because the
computer is asking for a CD.  I know it is posible to get the fax working
without it but don't know how.

Is it possible to scan documents to the rtf format, currently you are only
able to scan to tiff jpeg, bmp and one more image formats. I have customer
who needs to scan document to rtf format so that changes can be made to the

I am running windowsxp home edition with sp2. My problem is that when i try
to install hewlett packard photo smart 1100 from the installations cd a
window opens and it says this driver is not supported on windows 2000...i
have windows xp so have no clue what it is talking about ...

I have a airport connection with a mac and my new dell running xp home. My
new laptop connected to the wireless connection fine, but I cannot locate the
printer that I have attatched to the airport, which the mac can print on as
well! what do I do to find the printer?

I use to be able to share my printers over my network , but since adding
service pack 2 for windows xp , when i try to connect to my printer over the
network , windows displays a message saying.
' The driver isnt installed ; browse for driver?'

I tried to install, then uninstall an Epson Printer that was totally
incompatible with my Windows XP. Even after I uninstalled "sucessfully", I
keep getting a message on start-up that the program is still there. How do I
get rid of all of it?
