I am migrating a Windows NT 4.0 print server to a new WIN2K3  print server.
I used FIXPRNSV.EXE on the old server to update the kernel touching drivers first.
The backup and restore work fine, however when I check properties on the newly migrated
printers I am missing the LPR ports ...

I have a local network at home with several computers.  Two computers are
running Windows XP.  Each of these computers also have their own printers
attached.  I'm trying to share out these printers so my other computers on my
network may print off of them.

Added a 2 port parallel card ( Skymaster) to a dual boot system running 98se
& XP Pro on two hard drives (C & D)
I installed the drivers in 98 after the system picked up the ports (LPT2 &
LPT3) then installed the printer on LPT2. Printed from the printer ok.

Ok, running XP Pro with the lastest updates. Got a Netgear PS110 10/100 print
server to handle my two printers. Epson Stylu pro700 and HP Laser Jet Series
two. The problem I am having is, the durn Netgear software will absolutely
NOT install on my SP machine. Not much ever ...

Beginning all of a sudden, print jobs automatically delete themselves from
the print queue.  When I click, "print" I get the appropriate dialog boxes,
then if I go to the queue, I see "printing" followed by "deleting" and the
print job goes away.

I have 2 XP machines.  Each one has a printer attached.  They were previously
ME machines and I could set computer2 to capture a printer port so it could
to the printer on computer1.  With XP I see that option is gone, but found
out about "net use" command.
