First I start with my hardware an then you will find my 'problem':
Hardware:
Computer1 with Win2000 and wired to Lynksys wired router
Printer1 (laser) attached to computer1 via USB

I use a friends printer occasionally, so have installed the driver onto my
computer.  Everytime I turn on my computer, that printer loads in the task
tray.  Is there a way I can stop that without deleting the printer?

when I print a document ,then directly print out as a "c:\test.txt."
is it possible ?

Using Windows XP Home SP2 all updates. Plenty of space and memory.
Have problem with text type documents, .doc, .rtf and .txt. Noticed this

I have a win2003sbs server connected to several printers, all shared

Two client machines can see these with no problems, and prints to them
fine, even form the dos program they rely so heavily on.

How do I connect my printer, attached to my desktop computer, to my laptop
with wireless connection?  I have a wireless router in order to access the
internet via my laptop.

I would like to use WindowsXP to receive and send faxes but I have two
important concerns:
If I regularly forward my phoneline to my cell to receive business calls,
will it distinguish the ring before it forwards it? I don't want my phone

HP printer software will not load because I don't have usb.inf,usbport.inf
and usbprint.int in System32 folder.   I have these files in an INF folder
with .PNF extensions.  Where can I get the INF files and what do I with them?
All my other usb hardware (camera, keyboard, mouse) ...

I downloaded the driver from HP.  The wizard will not add the printer. It

I have a computer that used to be able to print from DOS Application i
WinXP.
