I'm using a Lexmark 4270 with a new Dell Dimension C521 running XP. Anything printed on this printer is a mess, whether color or b/w. There is the recognizable document visible, but the print is covered with lines, blocks, misaligned image layers, etc.

My HP 4100N has seen very little use but has failed me now. When starting is does mem check and then goes to "Checking Printer" on the display. Tried restart, reboot, cold reboot etc.

I am trying to use the fax feature on my computer and I have a few questions. When do I use 'dialing rules', when not? We have high speed internet, should I be hearing a dialing out for fax? I am not having any luck with this and would appreciate any help I can get.

I have a friend that keeps getting this message when she tries to receive a fax lately. She is able to send faxes however. Her modem driver is up to date. I am not sure what is causing this problem. She has an agere modem. Please advise on how to solve this problem. Thank you.
