What would cause a printer (HP Photosmart 8250) to always print a blank first
page before every print job?

I managed to give it an automatic ip to which I can ping without problems.
My router, look@lan, etc. recognise it but its (NetBIOS,...) ...

Everytime I get a windows upgrade, I lose connection with my (very old but
