I have two laptops I connect to my home network and wish
to have them both using a synchronised set of folders on
my server running W2K.  The laptop running XP professional
works fine.  However, the latop running XP Home Edition

As best I can figure it, it appears that a recent update
has messed up Remote Desktop.  I've had it working
successfully for a while and only have experienced issues
in the last couple of days after updating.

Windows XP Pro. Is there any program that runs on Win98 to make it emulate

capable router which performs the authentication).  Name

I am trying to connect home xp machine to office xp pro machine.  both are
behind Linksys router.  I have successfully set up remote desktop and it is
working.  vpn is set up and stays connected but I can't seem to access any
files.  vpn server's ip address is usually 192.168.1.120 ...

Does anyone know of software that will alow me to switch
IP addresses? For example, if I take my laptop into 3
diff offices, I'd need to change the IP address. Is there

in the Startup do not run (we try to run a script that maps a network
drive). When we were using Terminal Services this was not a problem. If the

Recently converted win2k servers to win2k3 servers. Prior
could see all servers in browse in remote desktop from xp
professional.  Since upgrading cannot see servers.  Is

Using a laptop with RD enabled, and everything is hunky-
dorey.  But after I log out and go home and try to access
the machine physically, it prompts me with a password
screen.  I don't mind that, it's a security thing.  But

set up a network. Is there any way I can connect them by
USB and transer files w/out setting up a network?
