As best I can figure it, it appears that a recent update has messed up Remote Desktop. I've had it working successfully for a while and only have experienced issues in the last couple of days after updating.

One of the computers on my LAN is a Win98 machine, all the rest are running Windows XP Pro. Is there any program that runs on Win98 to make it emulate Remote Desktop feature. In other words I would like to access the Win98 system from any of the other XP machines.

I have an XP Pro PC acting as a file server, and connect to it via another XP Pro PC (through a Snapgear VPN capable router which performs the authentication). Name resolution is handled via host files.

Does anyone know of software that will alow me to switch IP addresses? For example, if I take my laptop into 3 diff offices, I'd need to change the IP address. Is there software out there that would remember these addresses
