RDC from home to office has acceptable speed, even though tunneled through a VPN. Now need to access from outside the VPN, using RDC Web Connection, as the other location has minimally configured XP Pro workstations for security

Is there a way to stop offline files from synchronizing on log off ? This option is grayed out under folder options so I immagine that this is something that will need to be changed in the registry.

On my desktop PC, I'm using two monitors at 1024x768 resolution. When I connect via my laptop, it ends up moving all of my desktop icons onto one of my monitors (putting them back is a big pain in the a$$). Is there any way to stop this from happening?
