OK, Here's a really good one. I have a software that I use
at work that is node locked with a KEY(dongle) I unhook the
key and bring it home with me every day to be used with my

I have a number of XP-Pro machines that I would periodically like to
remotely monitor the network traffic. I don't need to sniff packets, just
get a current bandwidth utilized graph. I do have administrator access to
all the pc's I need to monitor.

Yesterday I've set up my desktop (XP Pro SP1) to accept
RDC Connections. In my ADSL Router I've setup the correct
port to be forwarded to my desktop.
When I try to connect trough the network at the office
Disconnect from RDC leaves users desktop at settings same as when in RDC25 Nov 2003 16:40 GMT2
When I Remote Desktop a user, I have the background set
so it does not display.
Once I disconnect, the background of the PC stays off.
Same goes if I use a lower screen resolution when RDCing,

I have been working for three days at this point to get remote desktop
connection to work.  After spending 4 hours, just trying to upgrade
from XP Home to XP PRO, I finally got passed that step.  Than I spent
another day trying to find the little checkbox under the network

Looking at the ms howto article on setting up the host
comp. In system when I look at the remote tab all I see is
Remote Assistance not Remote Desktop as shown in the ms
howto ( re: setting up host computer). Am I to assume that
