I'm new to remote connecting. From my laptop at home I can use dial-up and am able to connection to my desktop at work. I'm not sure where to go from here to use the files, drives, and mapped drives on desktop using a Windows XP home networking ( windows networking ?)

Is there a way for a win xp laptop user to easily copy documents off a server and then get them updated on the server once he is back and connected to the network? Is there something in win xp that does that or a third party utility is available to do this?
