I would like to access my home PC running windows XP pro from another computer running windows XP pro via the internet through a VPN.  Can this de done? or does my home PC have to be running a server OS?  Can someone please let me know and send me a response to sound_fx@shaw.ca

In XP Multimedia Edition I went to "Ctrl Panel->Network connections"
If i right click my "Local Area Connection" (or any connection listed there
in fact) and pick properties or select "Local Area Connection" and ...

I am starting to look into this.  The answer does not
seem to be immediately clear, so maybe someone can offer
me the short answer and point me in the rigth direction
so I can work out the details.  I have 3 objectives.

I'm trying to set up a VPN connection to access our VPN
server at work through my cable connection at home.  When

We have several XP pro machines in this facility.  All machines can use
remote desktop with no problems.  One machine, a Sony Vaio, corrupts, I
assume the keyboard translation tables of the host machine after logoff.
After using the Sony machine, XP pro SP1, to connect to another XP ...
