I've tried both Remote Desktop and pcAnywhere. RDP is much faster. I'm sure
pcAnywhere would do the same if they could and do it well and safely. So is
there some big trade-off in exchange for the speed of RDP? I have a low

When trying to connect to an XP box via RDP I get the following message:
"The local policy of this system does not permit you to logon interactively"
Say what?  I have set up many XP boxes and can RDP in fine to them.  If I
make a typo on the password it stops and makes me re-enter ...

I'd like to access my home machine on the road.  Question: does the
Windows Remote Desktop (Terminal Services) port need to be persistenly
forwarded, or can I leave it application triggered in my firewall?  I

I have a Windows XP Pro SP1 laptop. Anytime I initiate a remote
desktop session into this machine, it reboots. It does not matter what
machine I use to connect to it: XP, Win2K, Win2K3. It just reboots as
soon as I get logged in through Remote Desktop.

I have been connecting from an XP client to a 2003 Server for ages.  It was
working perfectly.
Suddenly, a few weeks ago something broke.
Now, when I try and connect, I enter my username and password, and it says
