What port does remote desktop sharing use? I must set up a router to allow the correct port to be pointed to the correct computer. This is a Netopia R9100 if you are aware of any unusual issues. TY

I can use gotomypc when I am at work to access my home PC, are there any other cheaper alternatives to this? I have tried VNC, however I cannot connect (I'm behind a firewall at work)....How can I connect using GoToMyPC but not with a desktop client like TightVNC?

I set up a VPN on my and a friends computer. Both WinXP Pro, and used default settings throughout for the VPN. From his computer I can connect to mine (I had to disable Zone Alarm on my computer) but I can't see any of my shared folders. What have I left out?
