I connect to various PCs using Windows Remote Deskop, XP professional.  For
some reason, I cann't restart the host through the remote connection.  I
even go to "Windows Security" and tell it to restart the host and it just

Can win XP do a passive connect, so the host can call the client to establish a the session. Is there such a feature? if yes, how to do it? Cheers.

I can't connect to my home pc when it's not already logged in. It didn't not happen some time ago. Is it related to some windows service pack/ updates? My win xp is updated with all service packs up to around march/april of 2004. This is very annoying, please help, thanks.

I set up my remote desktop to allow me to view HDD's,
serial ports and printers - the first two work ok but I
still cannot print to a local printer.  I can see all my

First question is the ctrl+alt+del sequence on the remote machine.  Some machine will not let me get past that, when I hit ctrl+alt+del it is performed on my machine vice the remote box.  How can we fix that?

I have two computers on a LAN (192.168.0.100 - Windows 2000 Server &
192.168.0.125 - WinXP Professional). I have a D-LINK DI-624 router. I
created a DynDNS account and linked my router to it, so that I can
access my computers via a domain: x.gotdns.com.

Problem: Windows XP freezes on remote startup (i.e., when disconnected
from corporate LAN) after log in and desktop appears, but before
system tray icons appear.  When connected to corporate LAN in the
office, no problems using the laptop.
