I am trying to connect via a VPN, on a 2000 machine I get
in no trouble, however when I try on XP SP2RC2 I get the
721 error - Remote computer did not respond. The firewall

Can Remote desktop be set up to have windows98 as the Host
and XP as the client?  Microsoft only shows how to do this

I have done this many times over past few months to upgrade databases and

Have XP Pro.  Last night I installed SP1, now my terminal services client
does nothing when I press the "connect" button....
Worked fine before the install.  Install went smoothly with no problems.

I have a PC that I've been using Remote Desktop on successfully for
months.  Then suddenly it's stopped working.  I had the PC listening
on port 443.  Now when I try to connect to it on port 443 (or any port
other than 3389) I get the following error message:
